Juan Peña Núñez | Director of Global Business Development

Juan Peña-Núñez leads AMI Global Assistance’s international business development efforts. As Director of Global Business development, Juan is responsible for the design and implementation of client value propositions among key target audiences including global travel insurers and corporate clients. He also oversees the company’s ongoing expansion efforts into emerging markets, to promote AMI’s extensive global medical, security, crisis, and travel risk management suite of services. As a multilingual professional with extensive knowledge in global medical, security, evacuation, and repatriation services, Juan continues to serve as a trusted advisor to many travel insurers, insurance brokers and blue-chip, multinational clients.

In his previous role with Healix International, Juan served as Director of Insurance & Partners EMEA leveraged by his previous experience as Business Development Director. Juan was responsible for the company’s development and expansion efforts in the global travel insurance sector, as well as promoting the firm’s range of supplementary travel risk management services to insured corporate clients. These initiatives contributed to high growth in emerging markets domestically and internationally and enhanced operational and customer services models. Before joining Healix International in 2015, Juan served as Head of Corporate Propositions for CEGA Group, now known as Charles Taylor Assistance, where he led the design, creation, development, and implementation of new, innovative, and highly valued risk management services to global insurers and corporate entities, enhancing employee duty of care for international businesses.

Coming from a solid operational assistance background, Juan’s work has provided him with extensive exposure and experience in medical, security, crisis, and risk management services and he has developed a broad global mindset working in markets around the world.
